Spencers Make a Wish

This was another amazing experience for me. I was able to go with Spencers family to the Make a Wish foundation in Murray Utah and document Spencer declaring his wish. Now I haven't known this family long, but I dearly love them already. Spencer has the sweetest, kindest spirit about him. It was hard to choke back the tears over and over.

Super Spence

Meet sweet Spencer. He is just 7 years old and fighting a battle with cancer. He was diagnosed with a Rhabdomyosarcoma, a malignant tumor in his parapharyngeal space in February. Just a week ago Hollys {Spencers amazing mom) friends put together a giant fundraiser. I photographed the event. It was so great- they had so much support. The only bummer was that Spencer wasn't able to attend the event. So heart wrenching. At the event they had a section where anyone could get their head shaved. You wouldn't even believe how many people did it. It was over 75 people that shaved their locks off to support Spencer. I'll post images from that later.
Then, this past Sunday I was able to photograph Spencer getting his head shaved. He has so much support and love on his side. This was my favorite image from that night. It's the kind of photo that does make you feel something. I love the strength and love you can see in his moms face. Truly touching. When I think of Spencer it makes me want to hug my own children tighter and tell them how deeply I love them. Life is fragile, and oh so precious.

Utah Newborn Photographer {Welcome Benjamin}

Oh, he's far too precious. I was technically "closed" for the month of December except for a wedding I did. But then, how could I turn down a chance to do a newborn shoot for a wonderful client? I couldn't say no....I also said yes to a few other previous clients. You know I love you when I work in December. :)
Hello little Benjamin....and sister too.

Salt Lake Baby Photographer {Twiners}

I love these twins. I love their mom. She is one of my besties. She's such a good good Mom (she NEVER gives herself the credit she deserves). She's the mother of 5 beautiful children, and manages them so well. I admire her as a mother so much. I love you Em! These are her twiner boys- Spencer and Kade. Aren't they just so cute!! We shot these with utter chaos going on behind us. While Emily and I jumped up and down making all kinds of loud noises known to man to get the babies to smile, my 8 month old was screaming his lungs out, our 5 year olds were late for school so we proceeded to yell at them to actually eat their lunch, and our 2 and 3 year olds were making a bazillion messes, breaking things, and eating an ENTIRE PACK OF GUM. Really. Ahhhh....deep breath. It was still so worth it!
Moms out there
--- give the camera to someone else!! Make someone, anyone document you with your children!!!!

And just for fun...one of my "give the camera to someone else" moments:

Holladay Utah Lifestyle Family Photographer {2 girls}

OK, to die for cute kids. And to top it all off, we did the session in their home. The girls rooms were so fantastic- and their magnificent mom found clothes to match their rooms. I heart this session.

About This Blog

Hi! I'm Jen, and I own Fauset Photography. I'm a Salt Lake City Utah family, newborn, child and senior photographer. I love photographing interaction between families. My style is a bit candid, along with a traditional twist. I love capturing children as they really are, following them with my camera and just getting who they are is my favorite. Urban family photography here in Salt Lake is one of my favorites!!
I've been photographing weddings for 6 years, I love it so much! Fauset Photography is based in Salt Lake City, Utah- but I travel to Arizona often for faithful clients and weddings. I've also shot weddings in Park City Utah, Denver Colorado, Las Vegas Nevada, Flagstaff and Sedona Arizona, and San Diego California. Thanks for visiting my blog and don't forget to visit my website!
