Utah Newborn Photographer {Vada}
Vada, sweet sweet Vada. It has been such a busy baby month!! She's was just an angel girl. She's almost 6 weeks old...and was so good for us! Mind you, when I do Newborn sessions, they take at least and hour and a half. We spend a lot of time chatting, waiting for the baby to fall into a deep slumber. And when they do, bam, I can get exactly what I need in no time at all! Vada's mom wants to know what you all think of the name Vada? Like it? Love it? Strange? Thoughts?? :)

I think the name fits her, and she is gorgeous. I can't believe her eyes are so blue already. I have to ask - What is the significance of the artwork in the picture on the dresser?
Emily, I'm Vada's momma and in answer to your question- the artwork on the dresser is a placenta print- basically, at her delivery, my midwife and doula made a imprint of her placenta onto a canvas. It looks like trees to us, and the "trunk" running down is the print of her umbilical cord. Those are Vada's little footprints in the corner. Thanks for asking! Some people really like it and some people find it gross :)

Jocelyn, I kind of thought that it was the placenta. It looks like trees to me as well (or really big leaves), and I love the way they used the cord as the "trunk." I think it is a very creative way to preserve the placenta and that part of Vada's existence. And your daughter is gorgeous!
