Super Spence

Meet sweet Spencer. He is just 7 years old and fighting a battle with cancer. He was diagnosed with a Rhabdomyosarcoma, a malignant tumor in his parapharyngeal space in February. Just a week ago Hollys {Spencers amazing mom) friends put together a giant fundraiser. I photographed the event. It was so great- they had so much support. The only bummer was that Spencer wasn't able to attend the event. So heart wrenching. At the event they had a section where anyone could get their head shaved. You wouldn't even believe how many people did it. It was over 75 people that shaved their locks off to support Spencer. I'll post images from that later.
Then, this past Sunday I was able to photograph Spencer getting his head shaved. He has so much support and love on his side. This was my favorite image from that night. It's the kind of photo that does make you feel something. I love the strength and love you can see in his moms face. Truly touching. When I think of Spencer it makes me want to hug my own children tighter and tell them how deeply I love them. Life is fragile, and oh so precious.

Wow, amazing! That is what kind of cancer I had when I was little rhabdomysarcoma, only mine was of the bladder. Please give them my info. if they ever want to talk, or my mom's, who went through and remembers way more than I do. They will be in my prayers, please wish them all the best from another cancer survivor!

Wow Jen, this is truly priceless. What a gift to give their family. To document the fight will be a treasure this family will keep one day and look back on and say, "how did we do that?" I'm glad you were able to do this for them. What a valuable gift. Kisses

About This Blog

Hi! I'm Jen, and I own Fauset Photography. I'm a Salt Lake City Utah family, newborn, child and senior photographer. I love photographing interaction between families. My style is a bit candid, along with a traditional twist. I love capturing children as they really are, following them with my camera and just getting who they are is my favorite. Urban family photography here in Salt Lake is one of my favorites!!
I've been photographing weddings for 6 years, I love it so much! Fauset Photography is based in Salt Lake City, Utah- but I travel to Arizona often for faithful clients and weddings. I've also shot weddings in Park City Utah, Denver Colorado, Las Vegas Nevada, Flagstaff and Sedona Arizona, and San Diego California. Thanks for visiting my blog and don't forget to visit my website!
